I stopped at a truck stop to take drain the lizard. Nothing that would normally be noteworthy, right? But while standing at the urinal, I saw something that caught my eye. A phrase etched into the wall that read “Mr Deadman Made Me Do It”. Was this referencing the song “Turn Me On, Mr. Deadman” or was this in reference to Deadman’s Tome?
What if the phrase wasn’t referencing either, but something else, something much darker and more obscure?
I still don’t know the answer to that, but I was inspired to have some fun with it. I called for stories themed around the idea of a Mr. Deadman causing people to go mad and do horrible, monstrous things, and boy did people deliver. While the issue is shorter than most, rocking eight short stories, the content serves the cover well!
The October issue has more weight and substance for a free to read ezine, and makes it all the more perfect for the month of Halloween. Between writing and playing Fortnite, treat yourself to short and demented stories.
Featuring: Brad P Christy, George Jacobs, DiVitto Kelly, R.C. Mulhare, and C.M. Saunders and an article by Mr. Deadman

The free to read horror ezine is doing well. We’ve received positive feedback from plenty of readers, and as much as we love it, we wonder if there’s more we could do.
What if we made the free to read ezine into a paperback? Who doesn’t like free books? Imagine Amazon Unlimited but with physical books. Logistics and shipping prevent it from being free, but what if it’s as cheap as possible?
We’re talking cheaper than a value meal at McDonald’s cheap, cheaper than buy 2 get 2 Monster Energy Drink deal. We wish we could make it 99 cents, but shipping makes that an impossible deal. What if we made it $5?
Does that sound like a good deal?
Right now we have a limited number of copies of the September issue on hand. This issue features three gruesome short stories, two articles, and fan mail.
